A view of Buttermere Lake

In May, after the dreadful lockdowns in England, I followed my wife to the Lake District for a few days; on the first day we took a walk around Buttermere Lake.

Before this one we've only been to the Lakes once, during winter, and to a rather different location. The area around this lake is dreamy: forests, with moss covered floor, beautiful views - and as bonus, we had an unexpectedly nice weather.

The sole unfortunate thing with this picture was that my lens got dirty which I hadn't noticed before shooting - those are the spots on the picture.

(Oh, by the way: this entry was written by Peter Molnar, and originally posted on petermolnar dot net.)
