Adventurer in the Lake District

PENTAX K-5 II s, 50.0 mm, 1/50 sec, ISO 80 SMC Pentax-M 50mm F1.7 CC-BY-NC-ND-4.0

I took this next to Buttermere Lake in the Lake District; an elderly man started to descend on this incredible looking path. I'm quite happy that there is a person in this picture; I took so many photos of empty roads in forests, and barely any reflected the real feel of it.

Normally I use the JPG files that come out of my Pentax K5 IIs, because it takes wonderful pictures on it's own, but this time I used a film simulation in Rawtherapee. The original colours, while accurate, somehow made the image too flat, and without dimensions, so I decided to try a few of the available simulations, and settled with Kodak Elite Color 200.

(Oh, by the way: this entry was written by Peter Molnar, and originally posted on petermolnar dot net.)
